The museum displays African-American military history artifacts spanning
150 years. Open by request.

Hattiesburg Arts Council Gallery

Located in the Hattiesburg Cultural Center, this gallery features a permanent
collection of works by noted Mississippi artists including Walter
Anderson, Marshall Bouldin, Bill Dunlap, Marie Hull, Ed McGowin, Theora
Hamlett, George Thurmond, Amy Giust and others. The HAC Gallery presents periodic
special exhibits as well. Open 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Monday - Friday.

Area Historical Society Museum

Located in the Hattiesburg Cultural Center, this museum collection
consists of materials donated by members and friends. The collection
includes city directories, high school annuals and composite pictures,
uniforms, old photographs, furnishings, household goods, and information
on homes, industries, and buildings. Open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
from 2 to 4:30 p.m. or by appointment.

Gallery
500 Main Street (Kress Building)
The Kress Gallery showcases the work of the members of South Mississippi
Art Association. Exhibits change periodically and are on view 24-hours a
day in the front windows.
Paper
Warehouse - an art gallery on Newman Street

This gallery features local artists with large scale iron sculptures,
weaving, paintings, pottery and stone sculptures. Owner Erik Eaves,
a Mississippi Craftsman Guild member, specializes in outdoor original
stone art pieces, garden benches and custom-ordered commissions. The
gallery is above his Stoneworks Studio and is normally open Monday
through Friday. Please call before visiting.
